What Can a Manuscript Critique Do For You?
*Help you assess how a project is going before you get too far down the wrong path which wastes precious time and energy
*Help you discover issues in the early stages so you can address them sooner and improve your writing as you work on the rest
*Potentially help save money during the final editing/proofing stages as some editors will charge less for a cleaner manuscript
What Is Included in a Manuscript Critique?
I will make an assessment of your work from a neutral, outsider vantage point. I will review areas such as clarity, flow, structure, readability, and general strengths and weaknesses. I will also indicate patterns I see with regard to repeated grammatical/technical issues.
I'll make notes on the manuscript and provide a summary report as well.
Please note: You can send me the first few pages (see word count below) to see if you're on a good path, or a whole manuscript if you feel that would serve you best.
Once I've done the initial critique, you can decide if you will need a re-read from me or if it's ready to go on to a copy editor/proof reader.

Payment: Accepted through PayPal or check by mail. A deposit of at least half is required. We will discuss specific terms before we start. Once that is all arranged, you'll send your manuscript via email or snail mail per our discussion.
Other Things You Need to Know:
Manuscript Critiques are currently available for NON-FICTION only.
Critiques are available for print books, e-books, booklets, reports and related items
Also, I won't work with content deemed adult/erotic, racist, violent etc.
Manuscripts should be double-spaced.
I will not make changes. It is up to you to make any adjustments you desire based on this feedback.
Turn-around time will be discussed on a project by project basis.

Schedule a 60 Minute phone call to cover a lot of ground at one time. Scheduling is flexible and sessions can be divided into two 30 min periods if we determine that would work better.
